While reflecting on my first term of International Year Zero I must admit it has been a challenging experience. Overall I have enjoyed what I was learning. However, I am preparing for translation work and my main subject is the English language, so I was not sure how I was going to do in digital art classes. It wasn't something I would normally choose to learn. Looking back, my first expression on the subject was positive. I enjoyed learning how to build the website, and how to create different work with the basic use of Photoshop and some online programs. I was very pleased with my advert, and now I must say I am quite happy with how my blog looks and with the website I have created. I wasn't expecting it to be such a nice experience, as when I first heard about it I was worried it would be difficult for me.
I had some difficulties with research, I think it is one of my weak points. I will improve in research in the coming term. I know it is one of the desired skills and will be helpful in the coming years of studies. I am really looking forward to the next term as I will be working on a photography project - I have an SLR camera that I have not used for years, I know very little about it and I am excited to take it out of the drawer again.
My overall first-term experience is very positive, I have created some friendships and really nice memories. I also enjoyed the classes, I learned a lot and created a few projects, that I can say I am proud of.
